“Pillar II in Therapy” is a three-episode video series produced by Parcfilm for APAPR (the Romanian Association of Privately Managed Pension Funds), based on a creative concept by Rogalski Damaschin. The campaign starts from a simple observation: for 18 years, Pillar II has been in a relationship with millions of Romanians who know very little about it.
In the series, Pillar II becomes a character, played by Alex Bogdan. He ends up in therapy with Cosmina Dobrotă because he feels ignored, misunderstood and often mistaken for something else. The humour comes from this one-sided relationship. Each episode ends with the campaign question, “Do you know where you stand with Pillar II?”, and an invitation to visit pilonuldoi.ro, check your account and update your details.
All three episodes were shot in a single day at Diud Studio, after 7 days of pre-production. Parcfilm also handled post-production, including editing and colour grading. The result is a social media video series built around an ambassador who explains a financial topic in everyday language.
